How to coupon at Walgreens

Since each place you use coupons is different I have written this guide to help you learn the basics of couponing at Walgreens. Click below to read on...

Most Walgreens do not have a loyalty card, there are some locations that do which are in the testing phase. They do have a Register Rewards program that is similar to Rite Aid UP Rewards. Purchase a certain product or products and a Register Reward coupon will print at the register.

Walgreens has a monthly coupon book that is packed with Walgreens coupons. The books can be found with the weekly circulars in the front of the store. Remember you can stack store coupons with manufacturer coupons so you can get some great deals with these books. The even better thing about these books is that you don’t need to tear the coupons out! The cashier will scan the coupon in the book and the discount will apply to any of those products that you have purchased. The same thing with the in ad coupons in Walgreens circulars just open to the appropriate page and they scan the coupon. This is great because you don’t need to grab 10 of the monthly coupon books or weekly circulars.

Again please print & read the Walgreens coupon policy. Walgreens has a policy that you can not have more coupons than you do products. For example if I am buying 10 products I can only use 10 coupons. This is where “fillers” come in handy. If you have 10 items and you’re using 12 coupons you will need to buy 2 “filler” items. Filler items are super cheap products .25 or less that you buy just to meet the product requirement.

Some Walgreens also have a beauty counter. If your Walgreens has a beauty counter you may want to check out there because it is slower paced than the front check out lane and you won’t be holding up as much traffic. Hope this information was helpful, good luck and happy couponing!
