Coupon Organization

There are many ways to organize your coupons and you may have to try a few different ones until you find the one that works best for you. But this is how I choose to organize my coupons and I wanted to share the process with you.

You will need:
A large good quality binder.
(The bigger the better, I am using 2 binders until I find a good deal on a bigger one)
Clear Sheet Protectors (Found at Wal-Mart, Target, Staples, sometimes even the Dollar Store)
A sharpie or other permanent marker.

Step 1: Sort the weekly Coupon Inserts by type. For this week I had 2 Smart Source Inserts & 1 P&G Saver.

Step 2: Start with one of the inserts. I started with P&G Saver. Set the other inserts aside. Seperate the pages of the insert and lay them in piles.

Step 3: Continue separating the other inserts and laying the like pages on top of one another.

Step 4: I write the Insert Type & Date on the front and back of the stack of inserts. For this set of inserts I labeled them PG 1/1. Smart Source = SS, Red Plum = RP & General Mills = GM

Step 5: I slide the stack of inserts into a sheet protector in the binder. And I continue until I have finished all the inserts.

This is time consuming however I only end up cutting the coupons I am actually going to use and when I need a specific coupon all I have to do is turn to the date range and insert the coupon came in and I can easily find it.
