Where to get Coupon Inserts?

When it comes to coupons most of them come from coupon inserts in the Sunday paper or that you may receive in the mail. There are three main sources for coupon inserts however we sometimes get surprised with a rare insert.

The three most common inserts are:

Red Plum (RP)
Smart Source (SS)
P&G Saver (PG)

Occasionally we will get a General Mills (GM) Insert.

So how can you get these inserts? Some may come in the mail, my region (Pittsburgh & Surrounding) receives Red Plum inserts through the mail usually Wednesday before the Sunday that they are dated. This is both a good and a bad thing. Receiving the insert early may let you take advantage of a match-up that you wouldn't be able to get in next weeks sales. It also allows you to confirm what coupons you will actually get since the coupon previews are not always accurate. The downside of this is that you only get 1 insert, which means one of each coupon. This is where you rely on friends, family and neighbors to donate their unwanted coupons.

In my region Smart Source, P&G Saver and General Mills Coupon inserts can be found in:

Uniontown, Herald Standard
Pittsburgh Post Gazette
Greensburg Tribune-Review

If you live outside of the Pittsburgh region and you are not sure which paper your inserts come in you can call or e-mail your local papers or check online.
