Do you ever have a recipe that calls for only the green part of green onions? If so what do you do with the white parts? You could eat them (dipped in salt yummm), you could toss them (booooo!) or you could re-grow them! Since we rarely see coupons for produce this is a great way to avoid spending at the grocery store. The best part is the only thing you need is a glass or a jar and water.
